Jewishmusic656.blogspot.com had the opportunity of speaking to long time Miami boys choir soloist Shmuli Broyn as we caught up with him for an in depth interview of his years in the choir

JMUSIC656: Before we start why don’t you tell us a little bit about yourself??
Shmuli Broyn: My name is Shmuli Broyn I am 14 years old, I live in Brooklyn NY
JMUSIC656: How many albums have you recorded with MBC?
Shmuli Broyn : 4
JMUSIC656: How many years ago did you join?
Shmuli Broyn: About 5 years ago
JMUSIC656: When you tried out for the choir what songs did you sing?
Shmuli Broyn: Vicholom Mikablim and Viyazer Vviyogon
JMUSIC656: Where have you preformed with the choir?
Shmuli Broyn: Isreal,mexico,Baltimore, San Diego, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, New Jersey that’s all I can remember!
JMUSIC656: Where did you enjoy the most?
Shmuli Broyn: Probley Israel
JMUSIC 656: Where was your first concert?
Shmuli Broyn: Brooklyn College with DEDI!
JMUSIC656: How much longer do you plan to stay in the choir?
Shmuli Broyn: Until the end of this school year (my first year in high school)
JMUSIC656: Are you doing anymore concerts with the choir?
Shmuli Broyn: Probley not
JMUSIC656: Wow so how was your last concert, what was going through your head?
Shmuli Broyn: It was just like wow I can’t believe five years has gone so fast let me make it a good one!
JMUSIC656: There is famous you tube video you singing with ohad at a concert what happened there?
Shmuli Broyn: I was in Israel in a hotel and they all recognized me from the choir so they asked Ohad if I can sing with him, so Ohad randomly called me up on stage with no rehearsal or being notified!
JMUSIC656: Have you developed some close friends in the choir over the years; can you name us a couple?
Shmuli Broyn: Shure I have made dozens but here is just a few of them
David Hershkowitz, Biny Zupnick, Dorone Levine, Yair Kenig I can still name more but will be here all day
JMUSIC656: It was told at the last concert that you guys will be making a CD in the very near future will you be on that album?
Shmuli Broyn: Yes I will.
JMUSIC656: Do you see yourself in the future of Jewish music something like Yitzi Spinner?
Shmuli Broyn: I don’t really know right now.
JMUSIC656: Is there a chance?
Shmuli Broyn: Of course!
JMUSIC656: Which recent choir member do you see having an impact in the future on Jewish music?
Shmuli Broyn: I Don’t really know cause there voices didn’t change yet so anything may happen but if anyone I was thinking David Hershkowitz but I don’t really know!
JMUSIC656: What about the highly talked about Yosef Shick?
Shmuli Broyn: Yosef used to be in the choir but left because of Shalsheles Junior but he has a great voice
JMUSIC656: Is your brother in the choir?
Shmuli Broyn: Yes my bro is in the choir!
JMUSIC656: How does it feel to perform with him?
Shmuli Broyn: It feels very good, it is very nice just pretty cool.
JMUSIC656: What do you think about the recent compotation with the yeshiva boy’s choir?
Shmuli Broyn: There is no compotation at all. We are two different style of music and Miami has been around for 31 years compared to Yeshivas four.
JMUSIC656: Do you feel you gained from the whole Miami experience?
Shmuli Broyn: No It was an amazing experience all credited to Yerachmiel Begun from the bottom of my heart thank you!JMUSIC656: Any final thoughts for your fans?
I love all my fans if you’re into your music there is a chance for you to become big one day so don’t be shy have some confidence and you will succeed

Shmuli Broyn : we should begin recording within a week or two
